October 09, 2011, Many years and generations to the rear, the BMW 5-series 528i is a turbine smooth, six-cylinder peak of mainstream 5-series range. It last appeared in the series 5-E39 two generations ago, and today it has been re-emerged in the middle of the current line-up F10. However, not as a 2.8 liter, or even six, down-sized 2.8 are now a 2.0-liter turbocharged four. It seems to be downsized when you open the hood, too, there is a considerable gap between the nose into the engine and the radiator of his, but produces 238bhp promising. Economy and emissions advantages are the object of shrinking cylinder, which is driven by the BMW 528i, the British-produced four-pot N20.

It is offered in addition to the six-cylinder BMW 530i 268bhp upgrade, and produce 13 percent reduction in fuel consumption to 43. 5mpg and 14 percent cut in grams of Co2 emissions are cut to 152g/km. Despite improvements, however, remained 528i in tax band G, F lost its status with only Co2 2g/km.

What is it like?

Should I buy one?
It is difficult to make a case for 5-series as a company car when the new 182bhp 520d Efficient Dynamics runs fast enough and saves a bundle on taxes and feeling the tank. That is why BMW does not expect to sell so many. However, 5-series feels than a sport sedan with this powertrain, and even convincing if you order £ 985 with the control variable damper that provides dynamism and entertainment back to the way this car should be as standard.
