Stiffer and 20mm lower suspension will be fitted, with the car sitting on larger 19-inch alloy wheels available in two new designs. There are also new dampers and shortened coil springs finished in red along with new lightweight brake discs and painted callipers. Available exclusively on the range-topping M235i model is a sports exhaust and mechanical limited-slip differential, improving traction and acceleration out of corners.

Visual changes include a new aerodynamic body kit, made up of a carbon fibre rear spoiler and diffuser, new front bumper and larger air intakes. The trademark kidney grille at the front can also be finished in carbon fibre and optional M Performance accent stripes are available.

Changes continue on the inside with a smattering of carbonfibre and Alcantara on the steering wheel, gear lever and selector as well as the handbrake. There’s also a race display on the steering wheel, which lights up when a gear change is necessary.

Those who opt for the 220d model also have the option of the M Performance Power kit, which boosts power by 16bhp and 40Nm of torque. All upgrades will be available from March 2014, with pricing to be announced closer to the car's official release date.

Like the 7-series and 5-series saloons, the 6-series is suspended via double wishbones at the front and BMW’s multi-link-style ‘integral’ rear axle. As standard fit, all versions have fixed-rate dampers, conventional anti-roll bars and electro-mechanical power steering with Servotronic speed-dependent assistance.
Adaptive dampers and anti-roll bars come as part of BMW’s Adaptive Drive options package. Our test car had them, adding reach to the car’s Performance Dynamic Control selector – which, in the 6-series, has a new Comfort+ setting to match Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Eco Pro.
The car’s 309bhp six-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine is probably the technical high point (see Under the skin, p67). But amid options such as surround-view cameras, a night vision system, a head-up display and what’s described as the most advanced hi-fi audio system yet offered on a BMW are adaptive LED headlights with a cornering function. They light the road to the left and right of the dead-ahead dependent not only on speed and steering angle but also vehicle yaw rate. Trust Munich to come up with headlights capable of compensating for unexpected night-time oversteer.

Commonly, when BMW produces a new M3, it starts it in car style first. Since BMW has yet to look at the 4 Line, we're likely to be looking at an M3 automobile first.
We anticipate it'll have a twin-turbo six-cylinder website in spot of the confident model's normally aspirated V8, but the jury's still out on whether those cylinders will be established in a V or a right series.

Mechanical machismo is provided by BMW 400-hp, twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8. An eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual is available free of charge. BMW claims a 0 to 60 time of 4.9 seconds for transmission, which seems a bit conservative for the machine of 4,250 kilos. The 650i convertible 4569 pounds [see here] did the deed in 4.7 seconds. Manual changes are short and precise, making it one of the best BMW clubs we sampled. However, the rapid eight-speed automatic transmission seems more in line with the confidence of effort coupe. It provides manual control via paddle or shift lever, if the driver feel like participating in mischief.

The 650i has the calm misconduct. Press the driving dynamic control to exit the comfort and sport settings, and automatic transmission, throttle, steering and suspension turn naughty. Rigid Shocks, the engine throttle becomes more sensitive and rapid transmission of slowing down and has more gears. Opting for the sport mode also increases the effort of the electric power steering system. But do not confuse the steering effort for tactile feedback. This BMW is the first without the second. Want to feel a good direction? Buy a Porsche 911. If we define good handling as the combination of great grip and an almost uncanny lack of body roll, the 650i would be an excellent driver. But we do not. Hugely capable, the 650i has higher limits, but even with a manual transmission, lack of information and clear communication that make driving interesting and involving. The 650i does all the work, the driver barely participates.
Participate in the experience 650i requires $ 83,875 a share too. Our sample was almost charged over $ 100K, a price that ensures that only the need to implement successfully. Despite being one of the last of its kind, the design of the 650i and performance to avoid that feels anachronistic.

Big coupes in general and the BMW 650i, in particular, remain a theatrical fashion statement in a landscape full of gray-suit sedan. It's just one unless you are willing to bear. The irony here is that, despite making some truly lovely BMW two-door in recent years, no other automaker has actually more to undermine the cause of stylish coupes, making four-door sedan appeal to the younger and Sport-buyers.

October 09, 2011, Many years and generations to the rear, the BMW 5-series 528i is a turbine smooth, six-cylinder peak of mainstream 5-series range. It last appeared in the series 5-E39 two generations ago, and today it has been re-emerged in the middle of the current line-up F10. However, not as a 2.8 liter, or even six, down-sized 2.8 are now a 2.0-liter turbocharged four. It seems to be downsized when you open the hood, too, there is a considerable gap between the nose into the engine and the radiator of his, but produces 238bhp promising. Economy and emissions advantages are the object of shrinking cylinder, which is driven by the BMW 528i, the British-produced four-pot N20.

It is offered in addition to the six-cylinder BMW 530i 268bhp upgrade, and produce 13 percent reduction in fuel consumption to 43. 5mpg and 14 percent cut in grams of Co2 emissions are cut to 152g/km. Should I buy one?
It is difficult to make a case for 5-series as a company car when the new 182bhp 520d Efficient Dynamics runs fast enough and saves a bundle on taxes and feeling the tank. That is why BMW does not expect to sell so many. However, 5-series feels than a sport sedan with this powertrain, and even convincing if you order £ 985 with the control variable damper that provides dynamism and entertainment back to the way this car should be as standard.
