HSD Hybrid
Toyota claims that this car will become the world's first hybrid B-segment car and promised to offer class-leading fuel economy and emissions reductions. HSD or Toyota Hybrid Synergy drive is the first technology available on the Hybrid Prius, but will be available on the Toyota Yaris as well so it can be driven in full-electric mode.Toyota will emit zero tailpipe emissions and fuel use zero for the Toyota Yaris 2012 HSD Hybrid. The system provides a model of Toyota's green machine by reducing the cost of care because they do not have the alternator, starter motor or belt drive. Making HSD drivetrain fit into the Yaris is Toyota's biggest challenge. Toyota said, "The introduction of full hybrid technology to a segment of the B-has placed us with some unique engineering challenges.
